Trump continues warnings to Iran: 'Operations could last two more weeks'

Speaking to journalist Sharyl Attkisson at the White House, U.S. President Donald Trump gave new messages regarding the intense developments in the Middle East. Trump described Iran as "dangerous and unpredictable" and reiterated once again that his country would never allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons.

HE FOCUSED ON THE NUCLEAR DEAL

Trump, emphasizing Iran's nuclear program in particular, criticized previous administrations with the words, "We cannot allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon. If I hadn't canceled the nuclear deal from the Obama era, they could be using it today against Israel, the Middle East, and perhaps beyond."

The U.S. President also claimed that Iran possesses missiles capable of striking Europe.

"70 PERCENT OF PLANNED TARGETS HAVE BEEN STRUCK"

Responding to a question about whether military operations against Iran would continue, Trump said, "Iran is defeated, but that doesn't mean everything is over. We could continue for two more weeks and strike all the remaining targets. We have struck approximately 70 percent of the targets we planned."

Trump also reiterated that as a result of the ongoing operations, it would take many years for Iran to be able to rebuild its military and nuclear capacity.
