US President Donald Trump made statements regarding Iran during a signing ceremony for an executive order at the White House.

At the ceremony where the executive order instructing the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to study various psychedelic substances was signed, Trump announced that negotiations with Iran are going well.

Trump said, "We are having very good talks right now. Negotiations with Iran are going well. They were a bit 'cunning,' as they have been for 47 years. No one was standing up to them, but we did." he added.

Stating that Iran's navy, air force, and leaders have been destroyed, Trump said, "They have nothing. With the elimination of their leaders, a regime change has actually taken place. You could call this a forced regime change. But we are talking to them." he added.

Trump, "They wanted to close the strait again, you know, as they have done for years. Iran cannot blackmail the US. Actually, many ships are now coming to Texas. Ships are coming to Louisiana. They have gotten used to this, and perhaps they will continue to do so. It has worked out quite well" he said.

Emphasizing that the talks are going very well, Trump added, "We will see. By the end of the day, we will have some information. We are talking to them and we are taking a firm stance. They have killed many people" he said.

Stating that Iran has also killed many American citizens over the years, Trump said, "They have been allowed to get away with what they have done for 47 years. That is no longer being allowed."
