Trump: Israel and Hamas are very close to a ceasefire agreement
US President Trump evaluated the ceasefire in Gaza and the negotiation process with Iran during a farewell ceremony for Elon Musk held in the Oval Office.
"We can make a deal with Iran without dropping bombs all over the Middle East," said US President Donald Trump, adding, "Israel and Hamas are very close to a deal in Gaza. The result will be announced soon."
Trump responded to a question regarding the current status of the ceasefire agreement, which Israel has reportedly approved and for which Hamas's response is awaited.
The US President stated, "They are very close to a deal on Gaza. We will let you know the result of that either today or tomorrow. We have a chance for that."
"A DEAL COULD HAPPEN SOON"
On the other hand, immediately following his assessment regarding Gaza, Trump also made a statement concerning nuclear negotiations with Iran.
Trump said, "I think we have a chance to make a deal with Iran. They would also prefer to make a deal rather than be bombed. I think this deal could happen in the not-too-distant future. We can make a deal without raining bombs on the Middle East. That would be very good."
