Trump sets time for the embargo they will impose on Iran

US President Donald Trump, in statements made to members of the press at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, evaluated the new sanctions process against Iran. Stating that the embargo will go into effect tomorrow at 10:00 AM Eastern Time, Trump noted that other countries are also involved in this process.

"Other countries are working on this as well. Thus, Iran will not be able to sell oil, and this measure will be very effective" said Trump, reiterating that Iran will not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons. "Iran will not have nuclear weapons in any way. They still want them and they stated this clearly the other night. However, Iran will not have nuclear weapons" he stated.

"IRAN DID NOT KEEP ITS WORD"

Regarding the question of whether Iran will enter into a new negotiation process with the US, Trump said, "I don't care if they come back or not. If they don't come back, that's fine too" he replied. Arguing that they have carried out operations targeting Iran's military capacity, Trump said, "They promised to open the Strait of Hormuz. But they didn't do it. They lied" he said.

When asked about the health status of the two pilots rescued after an F-15E fighter jet was shot down in Iran, Trump responded, "They are doing very well and we are very proud of them" he replied.

“I AM DISAPPOINTED WITH NATO”

Touching upon NATO in his remarks, Trump argued that the alliance does not provide sufficient support to the US. He stated, "I am very disappointed with NATO. They have not supported us. We are paying trillions of dollars for NATO and they have not supported us. We will need to evaluate this issue in detail."
