U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has shared a video criticizing Netanyahu's Middle East policy.

In the video shared by Trump, Prof. Dr. Jeffrey Sachs, Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University, is seen making assessments regarding the reasons behind the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003.

Sachs stated, "Where did this war come from? Do you know? It's quite astonishing. That war actually originated from Netanyahu," accusing Netanyahu of steering U.S. foreign policy and leading to "endless wars" in the Middle East.

"Netanyahu has thought since 1995 that the only way to get rid of Hamas and Hezbollah was to overthrow the governments that support them, such as Iraq, Syria, and Iran," Sachs said, adding, "He dragged us into endless wars and, thanks to his influence on U.S. politics, he always got what he wanted, but that war in 2003 was completely fake."

Emphasizing that the U.S. invasion of Iraq was based on "completely fake justifications," Sachs stated, "This was a fake war. They had to figure out how to sell the war to the American people, how to scare them."

Using profanity toward Netanyahu, Sachs said, "Netanyahu is obsessed; even today, he is striving for us to go to war with Iran."

Sachs also alleged that former U.S. President Barack Obama had instructed the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to overthrow the Syrian government four years before Russia's intervention in Syria.

Trump's post has ignited debates regarding the new era in U.S.-Israel relations.
