Trump: The deal we are making with Iran will be much better than the JCPOA
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that they will make a better deal with Iran than the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) signed in 2015, saying, "The deal we are making with Iran will be much better than the JCPOA, widely known as the 'Iran Nuclear Deal'."
U.S. President Donald Trump made a statement on his social media account regarding a potential deal with Iran. Stating that they will make a better deal with Iran than the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) signed in 2015, Trump said, "The deal we are making with Iran will be much better than the JCPOA, widely known as the 'Iran Nuclear Deal'.
This deal was signed by Barack Obama and Sleepy Joe Biden and was one of the worst deals ever made regarding the security of our country. This was a guaranteed path to a nuclear weapon; with the deal we are working on, this will not and cannot happen," he said.
Expressing that previous administrations sent 1.7 billion dollars to Iran, Trump said, "The Iranian regime spent this money as it pleased. All the cash in banks in Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland was drained. Bankers said they had never seen anything like it before. Furthermore, hundreds of billions of dollars were paid to Iran. If I hadn't terminated that deal, nuclear weapons would have been used in Israel and all over the Middle East, and even at our precious U.S. military bases," he said.
"This will be something the world will be proud of, unlike the years of shame and humiliation"
Targeting the press, Trump stated that some media outlets have published fake news about the JCPOA, saying, "If a deal is made during the Trump era, it will guarantee peace, security, and safety not only for Israel and the Middle East, but for Europe, America, and the entire world. This will be something the world will be proud of, unlike the years of shame and humiliation we had to endure due to incompetent and cowardly leadership," he said.
Targeting the Democrats, Trump said, "The Democrats are doing everything they can to weaken the extremely strong position we are in regarding Iran."
Reminding that World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and the Iraq War lasted for years, Trump said, "They like to say that I promised to defeat Iran in 6 weeks. Yet, militarily, this happened much faster, but I will not allow them to force the U.S. to make a worse deal than it could be. I read that the fake news media writes that I am under pressure to make a deal. This is not true, I am not under pressure. Moreover, everything will happen quickly. Time is not my enemy. The only thing that matters is finally solving the Iran issue after 47 years, which other presidents did not resolve due to a lack of courage and vision. We are in this, and it will be completed the right way," he said.
"Traitorous, weak, and pathetic Democrats"
Pointing out that he has said for years that Iran is dangerous and that something must be done about it, Trump said, "Now we will not let the traitorous, weak, and pathetic Democrats, who belittle the achievements of our military and the Trump administration, stand in the way of this. This operation is being executed perfectly on the scale of Venezuela, just larger and more complex. The result will be the same. In my first term, I built the greatest military our country has ever seen, including the Space Force. In my second term, I am using this military in place and correctly to solve the problems others left us," he said.
