Trump threatens countries supporting Iran
US President Donald Trump announced that they have launched the most comprehensive economic sanctions operation ever applied against any country toward Iran. Trump stated that countries supporting Iran will also face "terrible economic consequences."
US President Donald Trump made statements regarding the tension with Iran on his Truth Social account. Stating that he offered Iran the greatest opportunity to date to reach an agreement with the US, Trump said, "However, tragically for them, they were unable to take advantage of this opportunity. Therefore, I am announcing the most crushing economic sanctions operation ever conducted against any country toward Iran. This will be economic warfare and isolation on an unprecedented scale."
TRUMP'S WARNING TO COUNTRIES SUPPORTING IRAN
Arguing that Iran's military capacity has been largely eliminated and its economy is in a dire state, Trump said, "Today, I am also announcing that countries that allow their financial institutions, businesses, airports, or government agencies to provide a lifeline to Iran in any way will also face terrible economic consequences."
Trump called for the immediate termination of transactions carried out through currency exchange offices, shipping companies, and shell firms, as well as oil smuggling, money swaps, and cash transfers with Iran. He claimed that those continuing these activities "know who they are."
TRUMP: IRAN IS CORNERED
Describing the economic sanctions operation against Iran as a "turning point," Trump said, "We need all our allies to stand with the US to isolate Iran and eliminate the threat they pose. These maniacs are cornered, and these historic measures will paralyze Iran and their ability to spread terror worldwide. Iran will never possess nuclear weapons."
