Trump threatens Iran over Strait of Hormuz: 'We will hit them twenty times harder'
US President Donald Trump sent a stern message to Iran regarding the possibility of oil flow being cut off through the Strait of Hormuz. Trump stated, "If Iran does anything to stop the flow of oil in the Strait of Hormuz, it will be hit twenty times harder than any blow it has received from the US to date."
US President Donald Trump made assessments regarding oil shipments passing through the Strait of Hormuz in a post on his social media account. Warning the Iranian administration, Trump stated that any attempt to cut off the energy flow in the strait would have very severe consequences.
In his statement, Trump said, "If Iran does anything to stop the flow of oil in the Strait of Hormuz, it will be hit twenty times harder than any blow it has received from the US to date."
ISSUED STERN MESSAGES
The US President stated that if such a scenario were to occur, targets that would make it difficult for Iran to recover could also be brought to the agenda. In this assessment, Trump used the expressions, "Death, fire, and fury will rain down upon them. But I hope and pray that this does not happen."
EMPHASIZED CHINA
Trump also touched upon the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open for global energy trade, noting that this is also important for countries that use the strait heavily, such as China. In his statement, Trump said, "This is a gift from the US to China and all countries that use the Strait of Hormuz heavily. I hope this will be a gesture that will be greatly appreciated."
