Trump: You will see what happens

US President Donald Trump held a press conference at the White House to announce that the US Space Command headquarters would be moved from Colorado to Alabama. Answering questions from journalists at the meeting, Trump, when asked if he had spoken with Russian President Vladimir Putin, said, "I spoke with Putin. I learned some very interesting things."

Touching upon the peace efforts between Russia and Ukraine, Trump stated, "If an announcement of a meeting with President Putin and President Zelenskyy is not made within the next few days, you will see what happens. We will see what they do and what happens. I am following this very closely. Actually, we had a very good conversation with President Putin a few weeks ago. Let's see if anything comes of it. If not, we will take a different approach."

Emphasizing that the continuation of the Russia-Ukraine War is unacceptable, Trump said, "Last week, there were 7,000, or rather 7,313, military casualties between the two countries. There was no reason for this. They are Russian and Ukrainian soldiers. I want this to end."

"I HAVE AN OBLIGATION TO PROTECT THE COUNTRY"

When asked if he would send troops to Chicago, Trump said, "If the Governor of Illinois calls me, I would love to do that. Now, we will do it anyway. We have the right to do so. I have an obligation to protect this country, and that includes intervening in Chicago and Baltimore despite local opposition."

Responding to a question about school shootings, Trump said, "We know this country has a major problem with school shootings. They say iron doors could be built, but that is very expensive. Instead, I am considering allowing teachers who have served in the military or the National Guard to carry weapons."

"BIDEN DID NOT HOLD A MEETING FOR MONTHS"

Addressing the rumors circulating on the internet over the weekend that he had died, Trump dismissed the claims as "fake news," saying, "This is fake news. That is why the media has very low credibility. I visited some people at a club I own near the Potomac River. I also gave an interview to the Daily Caller. I held many press conferences, all of which were successful. Then I didn't attend any for two days, and they said, 'There must be something wrong with him.' Biden did not hold a meeting for months. You couldn't see him. And no one said he had a problem."

When asked if the military parade to be held in China, which Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will also attend, was a challenge to him, Trump replied, "Not at all. China needs us, and we have very good relations with President Xi. China needs us much more than we need them."
