Trump's first comment on Musk's new party initiative

US President Donald Trump has voiced his criticism regarding Elon Musk's efforts to establish a new political party. Trump stated that this initiative was "disturbing" and characterized Musk's steps in this direction as "absurd."

Speaking to reporters at the airport, Trump emphasized the success of the Republican Party and said that a third party could create confusion in the political arena.

In a post on the X platform, Elon Musk referenced the US Independence Day and asked whether people wanted independence from the two-party system. Sharing the results of a poll he initiated with the question, "Should we start the America Party?", Musk noted that the majority of participants viewed the idea favorably.

Meanwhile, it was announced that Trump will visit Texas on Friday to inspect the flood disaster that occurred in the state. Trump did not blame the National Weather Service following the flood disaster, nor did he assign responsibility to camp staff. Stating that such disasters are rare, Trump indicated that he would assess the situation in Texas.

On the other hand, responding to questions about a Liberian-flagged ship that was attacked in the Red Sea, Trump said that a detailed report on the matter would be presented soon. The US press had reported that the crew of the attacked ship had abandoned the vessel.
