Trump's new official portrait released

Trump, who was dissatisfied with his previous portrait, had a new one commissioned. Trump's official portrait was shared via the White House's X account.

U.S. President Donald Trump had previously demanded the removal of his portrait at the Colorado State Capitol, arguing that it was "deliberately unflattering."

Trump had expressed his reaction to the portrait at the Colorado State Capitol in a post on Truth Social.

Stating that "nobody likes a bad photo or painting of themselves," Trump argued that his portrait among those of other presidents at the Colorado State Capitol was "deliberately drawn in an unflattering way."

Trump remarked, "The artist also painted (former U.S. President Barack) Obama, and he looks great. But mine is truly the worst. (The artist) must have lost their talent as they got older."

Stating that he would prefer his picture not be hung at all rather than having that portrait, Trump noted that many people in Colorado were angry and had filed complaints regarding the matter.
