Trump's Special Envoy Kellogg: Europe will not be in peace talks
Keith Kellogg, the U.S. Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia, stated that Europe will not directly participate in the peace negotiations to end the Russia-Ukraine War, but that its interests will not be ignored.
Speaking at the 8th Ukraine Lunch event held on the sidelines of the 61st Munich Security Conference (MSC 2025) in Munich, Germany, Kellogg stated that the U.S. wants to avoid the problems associated with negotiation processes involving a large number of participants.
Kellogg stated that one of the reasons for the failure of previous Ukraine-Russia peace talks was the inclusion of too many countries in the process, adding, "We will not follow that path."
Stating that Europe will not be directly involved in the upcoming negotiations, Kellogg said that European countries will be consulted during this process and their interests will be taken into account.
Kellogg also expressed that the peace plan will take shape "in the coming days or weeks."
