Trump's statement on negotiations with Iran!
Making statements on the agenda in the Oval Office, US President Donald Trump said that negotiations with Iran are actively continuing and that the parties are seeking a new agreement. Responding to the Epstein controversy with harsh words, Trump stated, "Epstein worked against me," and emphasized that nothing about him appeared in the released documents.
US President Donald Trump stated that Iran wants to negotiate with the US, saying, "They had an opportunity before, but it didn't work out, and we carried out 'Operation Midnight Hammer.' I don't think they want that to happen again. They want to negotiate. We are currently in active talks with them." Trump described his meeting with Colombian President Gustavo Petro as "very positive," saying, "Overall, it was a very good meeting. I think he was quite good, we got along very well."
US President Donald Trump made statements regarding the agenda after signing the budget package containing 2 weeks of temporary funding in the Oval Office. Responding to a question about the negotiations with Iran, Trump stated that the negotiations are ongoing, saying, "They want to do something, let's see if a concrete result will emerge." Recalling "Operation Midnight Hammer," which targeted Iran's nuclear facilities, Trump said, "They had an opportunity before, but it didn't work out, and we carried out 'Operation Midnight Hammer.' I don't think they want that to happen again. They want to negotiate. We are currently in active talks with them." Trump avoided giving details about the location and time of the meetings planned within the scope of the negotiations.
"WE GOT ALONG WELL WITH GUSTAVO PETRO"
Touching upon his meeting with Colombian President Gustavo Petro at the White House, Trump responded to the question, "Did you reach an agreement on combating drugs?" by saying, "Yes, we addressed this issue and got along quite well." Reminding that he had not met Petro before and they were not friends, Trump said, "However, our meeting went very positively. We are working on this issue (combating drugs). We are also making progress on some other topics, including sanctions. Overall, it was a very good meeting. I think he was quite good, we got along very well."
"WE HAVE GOOD RELATIONS WITH THE ADMINISTRATION IN VENEZUELA"
Upon the question, "Do you plan to work together with Gustavo Petro on combating guerrilla groups and terrorist organizations in Venezuela?" Trump assessed, "Yes, they want me to do it, and we will. We currently have quite good relations with the administration in Venezuela; we have really achieved a very good harmony. As you know, we bought 50 million barrels of oil. The shipment is currently on its way to Houston. Our relations with them are quite positive, and we will work together on these issues."
"PUTIN KEPT HIS WORD"
Trump was reminded of the claims that Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to pause attacks on Ukraine due to cold weather conditions. Stating that the promise Putin made to him covered a 1-week period until Sunday, Trump said, "That period expired, and he carried out harsh attacks again last night. But he kept his word. It is a really difficult situation. It is very, very cold there. Even a one-week break is important for us; we accept any kind of break. The ceasefire started on Sunday and lasted until the following Sunday." When asked if he was disappointed that Putin did not take bigger steps to end the war, Trump replied, "I would have liked him to do that. I want the war to end completely. I spoke with him. I want him to end this war."
"EPSTEIN WORKED AGAINST ME"
Trump also commented on the decision of Lord Peter Mandelson, who is accused of sharing state secrets with US sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in the UK, to leave the House of Lords. Stating that he knows Mandelson but does not know the details of the matter, Trump said, "This is a very bad situation." Stating that he had no relationship with Epstein, Trump said, "Speaking of Epstein, let me say this: It turned out that a reporter named Wolf and Epstein conspired against me. This information was included in millions of pages of documents yesterday. It is incredible, but they acted together against me to ensure I lost the elections. This was the only thing said about me. As for the Democrats, there are really very bad things. But the only thing known about me is that the writer named Wolf, whom I don't know, and Epstein conspired against me together. They worked against me for me to lose the election or worse."
"EPSTEIN IS A DEMOCRAT PROBLEM"
Stating that those who are actually associated with Epstein are Democratic politicians, Trump said, "Therefore, the Epstein issue is closed here for Trump. There are many Democrats who are actually seriously connected to Epstein." Stating that the Epstein issue takes up too much of the government's time, Trump said, "To be honest, we also need to get back to running the country. There are millions of issues every week. No one cared when Epstein was alive; everyone started talking after he died. This is actually a Democrat problem, not a Republican one. The priority of Republicans should be to run the country and tell the public about the good work we are doing. We have the largest economy in world history. 18 trillion dollars of spending is being made. The previous record was 3 trillion years ago. We didn't do that either, another country did."
"NOTHING ABOUT ME CAME OUT IN THE EPSTEIN DOCUMENTS"
When reminded that the names of billionaire businessman Elon Musk and US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick were mentioned in the Epstein documents, Trump commented, "I didn't read it. I have a lot of work to do, I am dealing with many issues. You mentioned two names. I'm sure there is no problem. If it were something serious, it would have made the headlines." When reminded that the released documents were largely censored, Trump said, "It is time for the country to focus on other issues. Nothing about me came out, it only turned out that there was a conspiracy against me; Epstein and some people worked against me. From this point on, I think the country should focus on other issues."
TRUMP'S HARSH REACTION TO THE REPORTER WHO ASKED ABOUT EPSTEIN
Trump reacted harshly to a reporter's question, "What do you say to people waiting for justice, especially the victims?" Angered by the question, Trump lashed out at the reporter, saying, "You are the worst reporter. It's no wonder CNN doesn't get ratings, because of people like you." Telling the reporter, "You are a young woman, I have known you for ten years, but I have never seen you smile once," Trump said, "Do you know why? Because you know you are not telling the truth. You are a very dishonest institution, and you should be ashamed of it."
"I DON'T LIKE SEEING THIS IN MANY WAYS"
Trump was reminded that former US President Bill Clinton and the Democrats' 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton would testify before the House Oversight Committee as part of the Epstein investigation. Describing the situation the Clinton couple fell into as "sad," Trump assessed, "I have always liked him (Bill Clinton). She (Hillary Clinton) is a quite talented woman. She was better than many other people in the debates. She was smart, really intelligent. I don't like seeing this situation in many ways." Despite this, reminding that the Democrats came after him for political reasons, Trump said, "It was as if they wanted me to spend the rest of my life in prison. In the end, it turned out that I was completely innocent, really innocent."
