Trump's Vice Presidential nominee Vance casts his vote

Voting continues in the US elections, where Republican Party presidential candidate Donald Trump and Democratic Party presidential candidate Kamala Harris are competing.

Trump's Vice Presidential nominee James David Vance cast his vote in the city of Cincinnati, Ohio, around 9:00 a.m. local time. Vance later made a statement to reporters waiting outside the polling station, saying, "Of course, my wife and I voted for Donald Trump."

Emphasizing that he feels good, Vance stated, "You never know until you have the results, but I feel good about this race. I hope it goes well for President Trump and me. We hope to win, but obviously, whoever wins, half the country will be disappointed."

Noting that the best way to heal the existing "divide" in the US is to try to govern the country well, Vice Presidential nominee Vance said, "It is to provide as much prosperity as we can for the American people and to remind our fellow Americans that, no matter how we voted, we are fundamentally on the same team.

Fundamentally, what President Trump and I are trying to do is build a country where our fellow Americans can realize their dreams; this applies to all our fellow Americans, regardless of who they voted for. I think we will win, I really do, but ultimately the voters will make that decision," he said.
