Trump's warning to Iran: 'We will defend Israel if necessary'
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he maintains hope for negotiations following Israel's attacks on Iran. While stating, "Iran cannot possess a nuclear bomb," Trump also delivered the message, "We will defend Israel if necessary."
Trump made statements over the phone to Bret Baier, one of the hosts of the Fox News channel.
President Trump stated, "Iran cannot possess a nuclear bomb, and we hope to return to the negotiating table. We will see. There are a few people in the leadership cadre who will not be returning (due to death)."
Noting that he is awaiting Tehran's response to the attacks Israel carried out against Iran, Trump declared, "We will defend Israel if necessary."
