Trump's would-be assassin called on Iran: You are free to kill Trump
It has emerged that the suspect in the assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump called on Iran to kill the former president in an online book he published in 2023.
New details have emerged regarding the suspect in the assassination attempt on Trump.
It was noted that the suspect, Ryan Wesley Routh, wrote "You are free to assassinate Trump" in his book titled "Ukraine's Unwinnable War," which he published online on Amazon in 2023, while calling on the Iranian government.
In the book, where he described Trump as a "fool" and a "buffoon" due to his "mistakes" during the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot and his withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal in 2018, he wrote, "we must accept the blame for the child we elected as president turning out to be brainless."
Stating in the book that he was tired of being classified as a Democrat or a Republican, Routh assessed that "all the problems in the world revolve around men with great insecurity, childish intelligence, and behavior."
In his book, Routh argued that the world could be a better place if it were run by women.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Gunshots were heard near where Trump was located in Florida on the evening of September 15, and it was subsequently reported that he was safe.
Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., announced on his X account that an AK-47 rifle was found in the bushes at the scene by local law enforcement after the incident and that a suspect had been apprehended.
It was stated that a Secret Service agent opened fire on the suspect while Trump was playing golf, whom the agent was tasked with protecting.
In an email to his supporters, Trump emphasized that he would "never give up," stating, "There were gunshots in my vicinity, but before rumors start spiraling out of control, I wanted you to hear this first: I am safe and well."
The FBI described the incident as "very serious."
Routh, who appeared in court yesterday, was charged with two separate counts: "possession of a firearm" and "possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number."
The investigation into Routh, who was previously reported to have been convicted of other crimes, is ongoing.
Former President Trump survived an assassination attempt during a rally in Pennsylvania on July 13 with an injury to his ear.
