Turk who won 10 million euros in the lottery is selling his Ferrari: 'Don't think I'm out of money'
Kürşat Yıldırım, who won 9.93 million euros in the German lottery, has begun to rapidly deplete his wealth due to poor investments and waste. Putting his Ferrari, which he bought for 730,000 euros, up for sale, Yıldırım said, "My money hasn't run out; I am investing in real estate."
Kürşat Yıldırım, a 43-year-old Turk who won 9.93 million euros in the German lottery about two years ago, appears to have hit rock bottom due to "poor investments and waste."
According to a report by Ali Gülen from Sözcü newspaper, Kürşat Yıldırım, who has started a career as a social media influencer and gives paid interviews to the German media, has put his Ferrari, which he bought from Italy for 730,000 euros after becoming a lottery millionaire, up for sale.
The Dortmund-based Turk was working as a crane operator before becoming wealthy.
Yıldırım, who entered into various investments, bought luxury cars, and invested in almond trees in Malatya as soon as he became rich, has started to find the 5,580 euro annual insurance premium for the Ferrari too expensive.
'NO ONE SHOULD THINK MY MONEY HAS RUN OUT'
It has emerged that Kürşat Yıldırım has spent more than a third of the money in just one year, and it is unknown how much is left in his account now.
Speaking to the Bild newspaper about the sale, Kürşat Yıldırım, nicknamed Chico, said, "No one should think my money has run out. I've become wiser now. I am now investing in real estate and have bought an apartment building."
However, despite having had more than 9.9 million euros enter his account, signs of a cash crunch are appearing after two years.
HE WILL BUY A PORSCHE FOR 150,000 EUROS
Kürşat Yıldırım says he bought the building with a bank loan and that if he sells the Ferrari, he will pay off the bank loan. He hopes to sell the car, which he has driven for only 7,200 kilometers, for the same price.
Stating that "I realized the car was a dead investment," it is reported that Kürşat Yıldırım said he would buy a hybrid Porsche next year, which costs approximately 150,000 euros.
