Turkey enters the list of most dangerous countries
As global security reports rank the world's most high-risk countries for 2025, Turkey's inclusion on the list has drawn attention.
A report evaluating the security situations of countries worldwide takes into account factors such as internal unrest, terrorist threats, and political instability. Experts state that long-term conflicts and weakening state authority, in particular, negatively affect security indices.
The report prepared for 2025 states that regions where state structures have weakened and humanitarian crises have deepened are among the most high-risk countries. It is emphasized that civilians living in these regions face serious dangers, and it is noted that international aid organizations need to exert greater effort.
According to the Global Peace Index 2025 report published by the Institute for Economics & Peace (IEP), countries with intense war and internal conflict ranked at the top of the list. Turkey is in 18th place on this list. Experts state that regional security risks and geopolitical developments are among the reasons for Turkey's inclusion in this ranking.
While officials emphasize that international reports are not solely decisive, they remind those planning travel to take into account current security warnings and official statements.
