Turkey to join international task force in Gaza

According to statements from a high-level Turkish official, Turkey will join an international task force to be established for the purpose of locating missing Israeli hostages in Gaza.

In addition to Turkey, the US, Qatar, and Egypt will also be part of this task force.

It was reported that Hamas would release 20 Israeli hostages in the first phase of the agreement. This development was announced by Agence France-Presse (AFP), citing a source close to the Hamas negotiating team.

Israel, for its part, plans to release approximately 2,000 Palestinian prisoners as part of this agreement. These prisoners include those serving life sentences and individuals detained since the start of the war.

The ceasefire agreement in Gaza, which awaits the approval of the Israeli government, will come into effect once an agreement is reached between the parties. According to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office, government approval is required for the ceasefire to be implemented. It was reported that the Israeli cabinet would meet today at 18:00 with the agenda of the "hostage release draft." The ceasefire is expected to take effect after the cabinet approves the agreement.
