Turkish and Greek delegations to meet: Two countries to convene in Athens

Turkey and Greece will hold a Joint Action Plan Meeting and Political Consultations in Athens on October 16 and 17, respectively.

Within the scope of the Positive Agenda dialogue between Turkey and Greece, delegations led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Burak Akçapar and Greek Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Konstantinos Fragogiannis will hold a meeting in Athens on October 16, 2023.

The following statements were included in the announcement made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the meeting:

"At the meeting, it is envisaged to review the progress made since the last meeting held in Ankara on March 22, 2023, regarding the Joint Action Plan aimed at developing bilateral trade, economic, energy, transport, education, health, environmental, and human relations, to consult on new areas of cooperation that can be included in the process, and to exchange views on the future of the process.

On the other hand, on October 17, 2023, within the framework of regular political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkey and Greece, talks will be held in Athens between delegations led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Burak Akçapar and Greek Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Alexandra Papadopoulou.''
