Two major earthquakes in a row in Japan: Tsunami warning issued
Two major earthquakes measuring 6.9 and 7.1 occurred in succession in Japan. Following the earthquakes, a tsunami warning was issued for the prefectures of Miyazaki, Kochi, Oita, Kagoshima, and Ehime.
Two earthquakes occurred in Japan, one measuring 6.9 off the coast of the Hyuga-nada Sea and another measuring 7.1 off the coast of Miyazaki city.
Following the earthquakes, which were felt strongly in many regions and caused brief panic, the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reported that the tremors were recorded at a depth of 30 kilometers at 16:43 local time.
While a tsunami warning was issued for the prefectures of Miyazaki, Kochi, Oita, Kagoshima, and Ehime following the tremors, it was stated that waves reaching up to 1 meter in height could occur.

Residents living in coastal areas were urged to move to upper floors and higher ground, and high-speed train services on Kyushu Island were canceled.
