UK issues warning of retaliation from Iran

The retaliatory attack expected to be carried out by Iran following the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran has not yet taken place.

As the tense statements between the two countries have given way to silence, Richard Moore, head of the UK's Secret Intelligence Service (MI6), spoke about the possibility of retaliation.

Responding to a question at an event in London about whether Iran would retaliate against Israel, Moore said, "I suspect that Iran will attempt to retaliate. We cannot let our guard down against the activities of the Iranians in this regard."

A VIOLENT EXPLOSION

Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh lost his life as a result of an assassination in Tehran, where he was attending the inauguration ceremony of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. In a statement released by the Public Relations Department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, it was stated that the attack was carried out by Israel, and it was noted, "As a result of investigations and examinations, it has been determined that this terrorist attack was carried out with a short-range warhead weighing approximately 7 kilograms and caused a violent explosion."
