Unpleasant news from the US regarding Gaza negotiations
US National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby, in a statement regarding the latest status of hostage exchange and ceasefire negotiations in the Gaza Strip between Israel and Hamas, said, "Frankly, we have not reached an agreement, and this is extremely disappointing."
Hostage exchange and ceasefire negotiations held between Israel and Hamas in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, are not reaching a conclusion.
US National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby, in his statement regarding the latest status of the negotiations, stated that the talks have ended for now without an agreement, saying, "Frankly, we have not reached an agreement, and this is extremely disappointing."
"WE BELIEVE IT IS POSSIBLE"
Stating that the US believes the disagreements can be overcome, Kirby said, "Even though the face-to-face talks have ended, we are working very hard to ensure the negotiations continue, even if in a virtual environment. We still believe that an agreement is possible."
Touching upon Israel's attacks in the city of Rafah, Kirby said the operation was not large-scale and stated, "We are following it with concern. We once again call on the Israelis to open the Rafah border for humanitarian aid."
