"AL-AQSA FLOOD" ATTACK
The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, launched a comprehensive attack on Israel on the morning of October 7, dubbed "Al-Aqsa Flood."
While thousands of rockets were fired from Gaza toward Israel, Palestinian armed groups raided and seized the Beit Hanoun-Erez Border Crossing on the Gaza-Israel border.
Armed groups then entered settlements inside Israel from there, and the Israeli army launched an attack on the Gaza Strip with dozens of fighter jets.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that 560 people had lost their lives and 2,900 people had been injured in the attacks carried out by Israel on Gaza.
Israeli forces have also killed 16 Palestinians in Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank since October 7.
The Israeli press reported that more than 800 Israelis had lost their lives and 2,400 people had been injured in the attacks launched from Gaza.
