US President-elect Donald Trump announces 4 new White House appointments

Donald Trump, who won the US presidential election held on November 5 and is expected to take office on January 20, 2025, has announced the new names who will take on senior roles in the White House.

Trump, who appointed campaign advisor Dan Scavino as his assistant and deputy chief of staff, announced that he would also appoint Stephen Miller, another advisor who worked on the campaign, as his assistant and deputy chief of staff for policy and internal security.

Announcing that James Blair, formerly the Political Director of the Republican National Committee, will serve as deputy chief of staff for legislative, political, and public affairs, Trump stated that Taylor Budowich, who has held senior management roles in his political organizations, will serve as his assistant and deputy chief of staff for communications and personnel.

In his statement, Trump said, "Dan, Stephen, James, and Taylor were 'best in class' advisors on my winning campaign, and I know they will serve the American people honorably in the White House." Trump had previously announced that he would appoint Susie Wiles as White House Chief of Staff.

HE HAD ALREADY ANNOUNCED MANY NAMES FOR CRITICAL ROLES

Having previously announced many names who will serve in his cabinet and in critical roles, Trump had nominated Florida Representative Matt Gaetz as Attorney General and Florida Senator Marco Rubio as Secretary of State. Announcing that he would nominate Pete Hegseth, a former soldier and Fox News host, for Secretary of Defense, Trump had stated that he would nominate John Ratcliffe, who served as Director of National Intelligence between 2020 and 2021, to head the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Announcing that he would nominate South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem for Secretary of Homeland Security, Trump had also announced that Michael Waltz, a former soldier and congressman from Florida, would be his National Security Advisor.

HE HAD ANNOUNCED HE WOULD GIVE ELON MUSK A ROLE

Trump had chosen former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence.

Announcing that US billionaire and Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy would lead the newly established Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Trump had also announced that he would appoint Mike Huckabee as Ambassador to Israel. Stating that he would appoint real estate mogul Steve Witkoff as Special Envoy to the Middle East, Trump had announced that he would bring Lee Zeldin to head the US Environmental Protection Agency and Elise Stefanik to the position of US Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN).
