US President Trump says his relationship with Elon Musk is over

In a telephone interview with the American network NBC News, Trump evaluated the disagreement between himself and Musk, which has been followed by the global public for the past few days.

When asked if he thought his relationship with Tesla and SpaceX owner Musk was over, Trump replied, "I assume so, yes."

Trump also stated that he has no intention of mending his relationship with Musk following their public dispute.

The US President further emphasized that Musk would face serious consequences if he were to provide financial support to Democratic candidates over Republican candidates.

"If he does that, he will have to face the consequences," Trump said, adding, "He will have to face very serious consequences for that."

Arguing that the American billionaire businessman has "disrespected the office of the presidency," Trump also expressed that he has no plans to speak with Musk in the near future.

Trump commented on Musk's statements by saying, "I think it's a very bad thing because he acted very disrespectfully. You cannot disrespect the office of the presidency."

THE DISPUTE BETWEEN TRUMP AND MUSK

US President Trump had previously stated that he was deeply disappointed by the remarks of businessman Musk, who recently left his post at the White House and made harsh criticisms regarding the tax cut bill on Congress's agenda.

Trump had used the expressions, "We had a very good relationship with Elon, but I don't know if that relationship is going well anymore. I am very disappointed in Elon, even though I helped him a lot."

Musk, responding to Trump's statements on his X account, commented, "If it weren't for me, Trump would have lost the election. The Democrats would control the House of Representatives, and the Republicans would have a 51-49 majority in the Senate."

Referring to Trump's previous X posts regarding the treasury debt burden, Elon Musk had also posted, "Where is this guy today?" and "The Big Ugly Bill will increase the budget deficit by another 2.5 trillion dollars!"

Musk also claimed that US President Trump's name appeared in the files related to the case of billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in prison while being tried on charges of creating a sex trafficking and abuse network involving young girls, known publicly as the Epstein files.
