US Secretary of State Rubio: 'We are not seeking regime change in Iran'
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated in his remarks following the recent strikes on Iran, "This is not a war against Iran." Emphasizing that they have no goal of regime change, Rubio warned that any potential retaliation from Tehran would be "the biggest mistake in their history."
Following the US airstrikes on three nuclear facilities in Iran, all eyes turned to Washington for statements. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a press conference where he made remarks aimed at de-escalating tensions while also issuing stern warnings.
Rubio stated that war has not been declared directly against the Iranian regime, saying, "This is not a war against Iran. The United States has no goal such as regime change in Iran."
However, Rubio warned that any potential retaliation from Iran would be met with a harsh response, stating, "Any military reaction from Tehran would be the biggest mistake the Iranian leadership has ever made."
