Israel receives hostages released by Hamas from the Red Cross! Footage shared
The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, released 3 Israeli women and handed them over to Red Cross teams as part of the first phase of the ceasefire and hostage exchange agreement. The Israeli army announced that the released hostages have been brought into Israeli territory.
In a written statement, the Israeli army, which released footage of the 3 female hostages being handed over to Israeli soldiers by a Red Cross vehicle, stated, "The hostages who were released a short while ago have crossed the border and entered Israeli territory under the escort of Israeli forces."
The statement noted that the released hostages are on their way to an initial reception point in southern Israel, where they will undergo preliminary medical checks.

AGREEMENT HAS COME INTO EFFECT
Qatar, one of the mediating countries, announced on January 15 that an agreement had been reached between Israel and Hamas on a ceasefire and hostage exchange in Gaza. The agreement came into effect today at 12:15 PM TRT. In the first 42 days of the three-phase ceasefire agreement, 33 Israeli hostages will be released.

The agreement includes the comprehensive delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip as well as the ability for displaced Palestinians to return to their regions.

The details of the second and third phases will be announced upon the completion of the first phase.
