Israel strikes Lebanon: Three major explosions in Beirut

Tensions in the Middle East are rising with each passing day.

Israel continues its attacks on Lebanon and Gaza.

The previous evening, Iran struck Israel with ballistic missiles. The Israeli war cabinet decided to retaliate against Iran.

While an attack on Iran was expected, Israel once again targeted Beirut, the capital of Lebanon.

The Israeli military announced that it had carried out a "precision strike" in Beirut. Security sources, however, reported that an area within Beirut, not far from the city center, was hit.

Israeli warplanes, which had previously targeted the Dahiyeh district in southern Beirut—known as a Hezbollah stronghold—also carried out an attack on a house in the village of Debl. It was reported that three people were killed in the attack.

Hezbollah, meanwhile, stated that it had targeted military sites and the Israeli city of Haifa with missiles, and forced Israeli forces infiltrating across the border to retreat. The Israeli military announced that eight of its soldiers were killed in the clashes in Lebanon. On the other hand, Hezbollah declared, "This is only the first round; we have the fighters, weapons, and ammunition to repel Israel."

ATTACKED HEZBOLLAH STRONGHOLD

The Israeli military carried out 12 airstrikes on several neighborhoods in the Dahiyeh district, described as a Hezbollah stronghold in the south of the Lebanese capital, Beirut. The attacks targeted the Haret Hreik, Chiyah, Hadath, Choueifat, Al-Amrousiyeh, Al-Ruweis, and Al-Jamous neighborhoods of Dahiyeh.

No information was shared regarding whether there were any deaths or injuries, or the extent of the damage caused.

1,928 PEOPLE HAVE LOST THEIR LIVES SINCE OCTOBER 8

In a statement from the Disaster Risk Management Unit affiliated with the Lebanese government, information was provided regarding those who have died, been injured, and been displaced due to Israeli attacks since October 8.

The statement noted that approximately 134 airstrikes were carried out on various points in Lebanon over the last two days, mostly in the southern regions and the Dahiyeh district of the capital, Beirut.

It was stated that 1 million 200 thousand people have been displaced due to Israeli attacks since September 8, and 160 thousand 200 of these individuals have been placed in shelters.

It was recorded that 55 more people lost their lives and 156 people were injured in the attacks carried out by Israel on Lebanon in the last 24 hours.

With the latest losses, it was reported that the number of people who have died in Israeli attacks since October 8, 2023, has reached 1,928, and the number of injured has reached 9 thousand 290.
