Warning from Iran to 3 European countries!
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned the UK, Germany, and France over their stance on Iran's nuclear program, stating, 'The European trio is on the verge of a new strategic mistake. Iran will provide a harsh and decisive response to the violation of its rights.'
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi issued a stern warning to the UK, Germany, and France. In a statement made via social media, he cautioned the three countries to refrain from taking negative steps against Iran's nuclear program. Araghchi emphasized that accusations against Iran for "failing to fulfill its obligations" after years of constructive cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) are baseless. The Minister stated, "After years of positive cooperation, my country is once again facing baseless accusations. Instead of good-faith dialogue, the European trio has made a malicious move against Iran at the IAEA Board of Governors."
'THE EUROPEAN TRIO IS ON THE VERGE OF A NEW STRATEGIC MISTAKE'
Abbas Araghchi noted that the UK, Germany, and France displayed a similar attitude in 2005, recalling a past dispute regarding the nuclear industry by saying, "These 3 countries displayed a similar attitude in 2005, and the result of that in many ways was the actual start of uranium enrichment activities in Iran. Have these three really learned nothing in the last twenty years?" Criticizing the stance of these three countries toward Iran's nuclear program, Araghchi said, "The European trio is on the verge of a new strategic mistake. Iran will provide a harsh and decisive response to the violation of its rights. In this case, all responsibility will lie with the irresponsible actors who resort to every method to interfere in the process."
IRAN DOSSIER BEING MOVED TO THE UN SECURITY COUNCIL
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) shared Iran's nuclear activities from the last 3 months in a report published on May 31. According to the report, Iran's stock of 60 percent enriched uranium rose from 274.8 kilograms in February to 408.6 kilograms on May 17. Following this increase, the agency called on the Tehran administration to cooperate.
According to reports in the US press, the UK, Germany, and France are preparing to move Iran's nuclear dossier to the United Nations Security Council in response to the report. If this step is taken, the "trigger mechanism" that could reinstate UN sanctions against Iran could be activated.
