Watch what you eat and drink before kissing this woman: A single kiss could cost her her life

The experiences of a woman in the US with a very rare condition have shocked those who hear them. 25-year-old Caroline Cray Quinn, who lives in Boston, Massachusetts, suffers from mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), which is seen in only 1 in 150,000 people. This disorder causes her blood cells to react excessively to certain foods, scents, and other environmental triggers.

Quinn's severe condition allows her to eat only oats and a specially prepared nutritional formula. Any other food could trigger a fatal allergic reaction and cause her to lose her life.

According to a report in The Daily Mail, her current situation requires not only her to be careful about what she eats, but also those she is with. Kissing someone who has consumed a food she might react to could also cost Quinn her life. For this reason, the young woman has imposed a series of strict rules on the people she is with to protect her health.

'SOMEONE HAS TO NOT EAT ANYTHING FOR ME TO KISS THEM'

Quinn, who works in the healthcare sector, recently explained these "dating rules" in a TikTok video that has been viewed 1.7 million times. The 25-year-old woman listed her criteria as follows: "For someone to be able to kiss me, they have to not eat anything for three hours beforehand. Also, they cannot eat any of my six main allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, mustard, seafood, kiwi) for 24 hours before kissing me. And they have to brush their teeth right before kissing me."

Quinn says she received these rules from a healthcare worker she asked, "Can I kiss a man?" after she was diagnosed. Stating that the rules have been mostly successful, the woman said, "Thanks to these rules, everything has generally gone well, but I have had a few minor reactions while kissing someone or after kissing someone. My mouth, lips, and tongue get itchy, and as soon as I feel that, I stop immediately and tell them I'm feeling reactive. If I need to, I take my emergency medication." (Gerçek Gündem)
