White House confirms COVID-19 virus origin
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that claims regarding the COVID-19 virus leaking from a laboratory in Wuhan, China, are a "confirmed fact."
White House Press Secretary Leavitt answered questions from members of the press regarding current topics during a press briefing.
Leavitt evaluated the recent statement by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) regarding the COVID-19 virus originating from a laboratory in Wuhan, China.
The White House Press Secretary stated, "Congratulations to (CIA Director) John Ratcliffe for revealing this truth to the American people. The (Joe) Biden administration had the chance to reveal the facts about this to the American people, but for some reason, they chose not to. We now know that this is a confirmed fact. It took many years for this to come out, but President (Donald Trump) was right about this."
Trump, who made statements regarding COVID-19 at the end of his first presidential term between 2016-2020, had argued that the virus emerged from a laboratory in Wuhan, China, and spread to the entire world because China did not take the necessary precautions in time. China, however, had rejected these claims.
