WHO announces: 'The situation in Gaza has reached catastrophic proportions'

As Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip continue for the 20th day, the total blockade it has imposed on the region also persists.

The humanitarian crisis is growing in the Gaza Strip, where many hospitals are unable to provide services due to shortages of fuel and medical supplies.

''FURTHER DELAYS ARE UNACCEPTABLE''

WHO Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean Dr. Ahmed Al-Mandhari stated, "The humanitarian and health crisis in Gaza has reached catastrophic proportions. Demanding unhindered access for the delivery of life-saving aid is our moral duty, an imperative that transcends political boundaries. Further delays or obstructions are absolutely unacceptable."

WHAT IS HAPPENING IN GAZA

Al-Qudra stated that in the attacks Israel has been carrying out since October 7, 7,028 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip, including 2,913 children, 1,709 women, and 397 elderly people, and 18,484 people have been injured.
