Wholesale inventories in the US decreased in November
Wholesale inventories in the US decreased by 0.2 percent in November of last year, in line with expectations.
The US Department of Commerce released data on wholesale inventories and sales for November 2023. Accordingly, wholesale inventories decreased by 0.2 percent in November compared to the previous month, reaching 896.2 billion dollars.
DECLINE RECORDED IN NOVEMBER
Wholesale inventories, which showed a decline in line with market expectations, had also decreased by 0.3 percent in October. Inventories also recorded a 3 percent decline in November compared to the same period last year.
In the same period, wholesale sales in the country remained unchanged compared to the previous month, totaling 666.6 billion dollars. Wholesale sales had decreased by 1.5 percent in October.
Wholesale sales recorded a 0.5 percent increase on an annual basis in the same period.
