Wrong hand gesture leads to death: Two sisters tortured to death over three hours

In Brazil, 25-year-old Rayane Alves and her 28-year-old sister Rithiele Alves were kidnapped along with two men, including their brother, after leaving a festival early Saturday morning.

Police stated that the sisters were abducted by a gang known as "Comando Vermelho" and subjected to torture.

It was reported that the gang members tortured the sisters with knives and cut off their hair and fingers.

According to the report on NTV, the brother managed to escape with injuries and notified the police. Police raided the house and found Rayane and Rithiele dead in one of the rooms.

Police officials stated that the gang members who kidnapped the girls ordered their deaths because they believed the sisters were making a hand sign belonging to the rival "Primeiro Comando da Capital" gang in a photograph.

It was reported that the young women were tortured for three hours before they died.

A police official said that the victims were held in a room and then taken out one by one to be tortured. It was noted that there is no evidence that Rayane Alves, her sister, or their brother had any connection to any criminal organization.
