Zelensky-Trump tension escalates! White House puts brakes on aid to Ukraine

The United States, under the instruction of President Donald Trump, has decided to suspend military aid to Ukraine.

White House officials clarified that the halt in military aid to Ukraine does not mean a permanent termination. An official stated that the process is being closely monitored and will be re-evaluated based on the future outcomes of the decision.

Responding to questions from journalists at the White House, U.S. President Trump stated that no definitive decision had been made regarding a complete cutoff of military aid. Trump drew attention with the remark, "Zelensky had better hope he is not right about the war in Ukraine continuing for a long time."

Officials reported that the decision does not cover previously sent weapons aid.

TENSION AND DIPLOMATIC CRISIS AT THE WHITE HOUSE

U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky experienced a disagreement over a rare metals agreement during their meeting at the White House. Following the argument, Zelensky left the White House without signing the agreement.

After leaving the U.S., Zelensky traveled to the United Kingdom to meet with European leaders. Received by King Charles in London, Zelensky attended a leaders' summit on Ukraine following a one-hour meeting.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced at the summit that an agreement had been reached to provide military aid to Ukraine and to maintain economic pressure on Russia. Starmer emphasized that Ukraine's defense capacity would be increased even if a peace agreement is reached.

Starmer noted that some countries want to be part of Europe's plan for Ukraine and stated that he does not agree with comments suggesting the U.S. is an unreliable ally.

While the British Prime Minister was briefing parliament after the summit, the military aid decision taken by the U.S. was found to be noteworthy.
