Zelenskyy's statement regarding his meeting with Trump

Stating that Trump spoke with him before calling Russian President Vladimir Putin, Zelenskyy noted that he later spoke with the US President again alongside European leaders.

In his message, Zelenskyy stated, "This is a decisive moment. The world can now see whether its leaders can truly secure a ceasefire and ensure a real, lasting peace."

Conveying that he confirmed to Trump in both conversations that Ukraine is ready for an unconditional ceasefire, Zelenskyy stated that new sanctions must be imposed on Russia as long as it does not stop its attacks.

Reiterating his call for readiness to engage in direct negotiations with Russia to end the war, Zelenskyy used the following expressions:

"I also reiterated that Ukraine is ready for direct negotiations with Russia in any format that will yield results. We are evaluating Turkey, the Vatican, Switzerland, all possible locations (for the talks)."

Emphasizing that Europe and the US should be involved in these negotiations, Zelenskyy noted that it would be important for the US not to withdraw from the talks.

Zelenskyy stated that if Russia continues the war, refuses prisoner exchanges, and makes "unrealistic demands," it will be necessary to exert pressure through sanctions from the US and Europe.
