2027 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class refreshed: S580 and S680 prices announced

Mercedes-Maybach has updated its flagship S-Class for the 2027 model year. The refreshed product lineup includes the new V8-powered S580 option alongside the V12-powered S680. The pricing and technical specifications for the models have also been announced.

The new Maybach S-Class arrives with design changes that follow the updates made to the standard S-Class. It is noted that the front grille has been enlarged by 20 percent, the bumpers have been renewed, and the digital headlights now feature star-shaped lighting details. The micro-LED headlights are said to illuminate an area 40 percent wider than previous versions, with the high-beam range reaching 600 meters.

ENGINE OPTIONS AND PRICES

The new entry-level model of the series, the S580, is equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 gasoline engine codenamed "M177 Evo." This unit produces 395 kW of power and 750 Nm of torque. The engine is accompanied by an integrated starter generator that provides 17 kW of power and 205 Nm of torque as part of the 48V mild-hybrid system.

The Maybach S680 retains its twin-turbo V12 gasoline engine. This engine stands out with 463 kW of power and 900 Nm of torque. Despite the higher power and torque, the 0-100 km/h acceleration time announced for both models is the same: 4.5 seconds.

According to the announced prices, the starting price of the S680 has risen to 582 thousand 428 dollars, an increase of 5 thousand 828 dollars. The S580 has been positioned as the lower-priced alternative in the series with a starting price tag of 517 thousand 900 dollars.

Technology and comfort features are highlighted in the interior. The front section features the MBUX Hyperscreen, which includes a 14.4-inch central touchscreen. While two 13.1-inch screens are offered for rear-seat passengers, it is stated that sound insulation in the cabin has been increased.

The options list also includes choices such as the 24 thousand 200 dollar First Class Package and the 34 thousand 900 dollar Night Series Package. While the First Class Package transforms the rear living area into a more comfort-oriented layout with four seats and a refrigerator, the Night Series Package comes with darkened details and special 20-inch wheels.

The Turkey pricing and release date for the new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class have not yet been announced. However, considering the tax burden applied to automobiles in Turkey, it is estimated that if the S580 were to arrive in Turkey, its price could exceed 50 million TL.
