As of August 2026, the list of brands and models has been clarified for eligible individuals looking to purchase vehicles by taking advantage of the SCT (Special Consumption Tax) exemption. In the new period, the upper limit applied to the sales price, including taxes, stands at 2 million 873 thousand 900 TL; however, it is not enough for the vehicles to simply remain below this price limit.
According to the regulation, a minimum domestic contribution rate of 40 percent is required for models to be considered under the SCT exemption. According to the Ministry of Industry and Technology's List of Domestic Contribution Rate Declarations for Motor Vehicles, models meeting this condition include the Hyundai i20 and Bayon; Renault Megane, Boreal, Duster, and Clio; Fiat Egea Sedan and Egea Cross; Toyota C-HR, Corolla, and Corolla Hybrid; as well as the Togg T10X and T10F.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
In the purchase of SCT-exempt vehicles, individuals with a disability rate of 90 percent or more can purchase certain vehicles for the first time without paying SCT. In this group, there is generally no requirement for special equipment or for the individual to drive the vehicle personally.
With the latest regulation, the vehicle replacement period has been extended from 5 years to 10 years. Additionally, individuals with an orthopedic disability rate of 40 percent or higher, who are documented by a medical board report as unable to obtain a driver's license due to this disability, can also benefit from the SCT exemption. Here, the rate of the orthopedic disability and the documentation of the inability to obtain a driver's license are of critical importance, rather than the total disability rate.
While it is noted that prices may vary based on campaigns, equipment, dealership practices, and current legislation, eligible individuals must check both the model's compliance with the price limit and its adherence to the domestic contribution rate and other legal requirements before purchasing.
