Global giant BYD is bringing a new electric car to Turkey

Electric vehicle manufacturer BYD has announced that it will offer a new model in the Turkish market. The company's new model, the SEAL U DM-i, will be available for sale in Turkey this year in its plug-in hybrid version.

BYD had previously entered the Turkish market with the Atto 3 model. The company is now bringing the SEAL U DM-i to Turkey to expand its product range.

The SEAL U DM-i produces 98 horsepower and 122 Nm of torque through the combination of a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and a 145 kW electric motor. The vehicle, which has an 18.3 kWh battery capacity, reaches an electric range of up to 80 kilometers and has a total range exceeding 1000 km.

BYD plans to launch the SEAL U DM-i in Turkey in the second quarter of 2024. While no exact date has been given yet, it is stated that the car could be seen in the country in June.

This model will be sold in the Turkish market for the first time in Europe.

It is anticipated that this move by BYD could contribute to the growth of the electric vehicle market in Turkey.
