According to the report in Sözcü, the General Directorate of Foundations had signed a 20-year lease agreement on July 18, 2003, with Formula İstanbul Yatırım A.Ş. (FİYAŞ), whose major shareholders include TOBB and the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (İTO).
After the Formula 1 Turkish Grand Prix was removed from the 2012 race calendar, FİYAŞ, the operator of Istanbul Park, put the track up for lease for 10 years. The operation of the Istanbul Park Circuit was being carried out by the company Intercity.
