Italian automotive giant Fiat is preparing to expand its Panda family with retro-designed electric models. Five different models are planned to be launched over the next four years.

As activity in the electric vehicle market increases, Fiat aims to contribute to this trend with its affordable electric vehicles. Five different Panda models will be introduced to the market as the era of affordable electric cars begins. The concept designs for these models have already been revealed.

Fiat stated that the new concepts will enter mass production. The first model will be unveiled at an event to be held on July 11, 2024. The new concepts include different designs such as a mega-sized camper version and a fastback model, in addition to a city car. Following the launch of the first model, a new model is planned to be released each year.

Fiat will offer three different engine options for these models. These options will include an electric powertrain, a hybrid engine, and an internal combustion engine. The electric model will be ready in time for Fiat's 125th-anniversary celebrations. These models, referred to as "the children of the Panda," will be built on the Smart Car platform used in the Citroen C3 and will be sold globally.

Currently the best-selling model in Italy, the Panda aims to become popular in the Middle East, Africa, and the rest of Europe with the new electric versions. With these models, Fiat aims to recapture the success of the original Panda, which carried the vibes of the 1980s and was produced in the company's first facilities.
