WHERE CAN MTV PAYMENTS BE MADE?
The deadline for the first installment of the Motor Vehicle Tax is January 31. Vehicle owners can make their payments through tax offices, PTT, bank branches, and mobile banking applications.
Late payment interest will be applied to those who do not make their payments by January 31. On the other hand, e-seizure proceedings can also be initiated by the tax office.
The MTV must also be paid in order to have vehicles inspected.
The motor vehicle tax is paid twice a year. It is divided into 2 equal installments, in January and July.
HOW MUCH ARE THE 2025 MTV PAYMENTS?
In 2025, the MTV was determined based on the engine displacement, age, and value of the vehicles. Here are the increased amounts by vehicle type:
Vehicles with 1300 cc engine and below
1-3 years old: 5,803 TL
4-6 years old: 4,042 TL
Vehicles with 1300-1600 cc engine
1-3 years old: 10,112 TL
4-6 years old: 7,577 TL
Vehicles with 1601-1800 cc engine
1-3 years old: 17,866 TL
4-6 years old: 13,956 TL
Motorcycles
100-250 cc engine displacement (1-3 years old): 899 TL
251-650 cc engine displacement (1-3 years old): 1,862 TL
651-1200 cc engine displacement (1-3 years old): 4,808 TL
1201 cc and above engine displacement (1-3 years old): 11,066 TL
