German giant Volkswagen recalls 177 thousand vehicles

The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) stated that there may be an error in the engine cover assembly of certain 2024 and 2025 model year Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport models from Volkswagen. It was stated that this error could pose a fire risk if the cover comes into contact with the hot surfaces of the engine.
Volkswagen announced that it will replace the engine covers free of charge through authorized dealers to resolve this issue. The company is making the necessary preparations to ensure that vehicle owners contact dealers as soon as possible.
