Mercedes and Audi dominate the luxury car market!

The luxury car market in Turkey is showing no signs of slowing down in January 2024. As sales rise, the market share of Mercedes and Audi continues to grow.

Data regarding the sales of premium car brands in Turkey has been released. Mercedes and Audi have captured more than half of the total sales. However, it is observed that Ferrari is trending toward being less preferred.

The year 2023 was full of records for car sales in Turkey. Almost every month was recorded as having the highest sales figures in history. This success culminated in a year that saw the highest vehicle sales in the history of the Republic. It appears that a similar decline will not occur in 2024 either, as sales figures in January 2024 managed to surpass the record sales of the same period in 2023.

While total sales figures continue to break record after record, luxury car sales are not stopping either. According to data from EBS Consulting, a total of 5,954 vehicles were sold in the premium segment in Turkey last month. When it comes to luxury cars, Mercedes and Audi are among the first brands that come to mind. One out of every two premium cars sold belongs to these two brands.

Here are the top 10 best-selling premium car brands in Turkey, along with their sales figures and market shares:

Mercedes: 1,718 units (28.85%)

Audi: 1,265 units (21.25%)

BMW: 666 units (11.19%)

Volvo: 665 units (11.17%)

Jeep: 405 units (6.80%)

DS: 403 units (6.77%)

Cupra: 368 units (6.18%)

Land Rover: 143 units (2.40%)

Alfa Romeo: 106 units (1.78%)

Mini: 97 units (1.63%)

According to data shared by ODMD, while Ferrari was only able to make 2 sales in Turkey, Porsche performed relatively better with 78 sales. Cupra, meanwhile, drew attention with 368 sales, particularly with its Formentor model.
