November automobile sales figures announced

According to the statement made by the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association, automobile sales in November increased by 54.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 91,424 units, while the light commercial vehicle market grew by 2.3 percent to 23,616 units.

"In the January-November period of 2023, the automobile and light commercial vehicle market increased by 60.8 percent. The total Turkish automobile and light commercial vehicle market reached 1,073,982 units in the January-November period of 2023, an increase of 60.8 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
Automobile sales increased by 66.2 percent in the January-November period of 2023 compared to last year, reaching 840,925 units, while the light commercial vehicle market grew by 43.7 percent to 233,057 units.
The automobile and light commercial vehicle market in November 2023 increased by 39.8 percent compared to November 2022, reaching 115,040 units. 89 percent of the market consisted of vehicles in the A, B, and C segments, which have lower tax rates. C-segment automobiles accounted for a 56 percent share with 470,596 units, while B-segment automobiles accounted for a 32.2 percent share with 270,397 units. Automobile market by body type; When evaluated by body type, the most preferred body type was SUV automobiles (50.6 percent share, 425,661 units).
SUV automobiles were followed by Sedan with a 26.8 percent share and 225,295 units sold, and H/B automobiles with a 20.5 percent share and 172,643 units sold."
