Peugeot held a press conference in the Bodrum district of Muğla regarding its renewed 2008 and 508 models.

According to the information shared at the meeting, Peugeot, which surpassed its annual target of 57 thousand units set at the beginning of 2023 with approximately 59 thousand passenger and light commercial vehicle sales as of September 2023, has revised its year-end target upward to 75 thousand units with the contribution of the new 2008 and new 508.

The 2008, Peugeot's representative in the B-SUV segment, has returned to being the most preferred model in its class as of September following its renewal, and continues to be one of the key models in achieving this success with its 3 different engine options and the new ACTIVE PRIME trim added to the ALLURE and GT trims.

The ACTIVE PRIME trim, with prices starting from 1 million 340 thousand TL, has been added to the new 2008, which was launched in August with 3 different engine options—gasoline, diesel, and electric—and ALLURE and GT trims.

The 508, Peugeot's notable model in the D-segment that began selling in Turkey during the summer months with its renewed design and interior features, is also meeting its new owners with special launch prices starting from 1 million 770 thousand TL, featuring a 1.5-liter BlueHDi 130 turbo diesel engine and EAT8 automatic transmission combination.

"WE AIM TO FINISH THE YEAR WITH SALES EXCEEDING 75 THOUSAND UNITS"

Peugeot Turkey General Manager Gülin Reyhanoğlu stated in her speech at the meeting that as Peugeot Turkey, they achieved their year-end targets in the first 9 months by demonstrating a sales performance of nearly 59 thousand units in the January-September 2023 period.

Stating that they achieved record customer satisfaction, record market share, and record sales performance as Peugeot Turkey in 9 months, Reyhanoğlu said, "Despite all the difficulties experienced, we kept not only the promises we made to ourselves but also the promises we made to our dealers and customers in a spectacular way. While the growth rate of the automotive market compared to the previous year was 65 percent, we achieved a growth of over 180 percent as Peugeot Turkey."

Reminding that they revised their targets with the influence of the new Peugeot models, Gülin Reyhanoğlu noted the following:

"At the beginning of 2023, we said that we would be the SUV leader as Peugeot. Our SUV leadership continues at full speed. We said, 'Our attack in commercial vehicles will continue, we will be the third brand after the two domestic brands.' As of the end of September, we are third after the two brands that produce domestically. With the support of our dealers and the trust of our customers, we have reached all the targets we set as of the end of the third quarter. These are not just performance targets; we also see in the brand research we conducted that our brand is perceived very positively by our customers. In this sense, we have also achieved our brand goals. We broke the record for the highest sales volume in Peugeot's history in Turkey at the end of the first 9 months of 2023. Now, in the 100th year of our Republic, aiming to break the record of records, we aim to finish the year with sales exceeding 75 thousand units."

"LEADERSHIP IN B-SUV IS MAINTAINED WITH THE NEW 2008"

Peugeot Turkey General Manager Gülin Reyhanoğlu made the following assessment regarding the new 2008 and 508 models:

"Just as we renewed our 2008 model, which we finished in the leadership seat of the B-SUV segment almost every month, and where we were not first only during the transition period to the new model but still remained on the podium, we returned to where we should be in September 2023. By maintaining our monthly leadership reinforced with the new 2008 until the end of the year, we are targeting the 2023 B-SUV segment leadership. The new 2008 has a huge contribution to our brand achieving all the targets it has set. With the superior success shown by our other SUV models 3008, 5008, and 408 in their segments, we aim to close the year 2023 as the leader in total SUV as Peugeot. When sales of our 408 model, which we launched in March with a target of 5 thousand units, exceeded 6 thousand 800 units, we revised our year-end target to 8 thousand 500 units. The new 508 is also a model we introduced to the market in the D-segment that has its own customer base. We have brought the new 508 together with its customer base on both the fleet and retail sides."
