A new study on the problems experienced by electric vehicles due to cold weather conditions in the Northern Hemisphere has identified the most durable models.

Cold weather has begun to create challenges for electric vehicle users in northern countries. This situation reduces the range of the vehicles, thereby decreasing their usage time. In addition to the increase in electric vehicle usage in Europe over the last few years, cold weather conditions are negatively affecting vehicle performance and leaving users facing a difficult experience.

As a solution to these problems, Scandinavian countries, which have been accustomed to cold weather conditions for many years, are trying to overcome these difficulties by choosing "the vehicles most resistant to cold weather."

According to a study conducted in Norway, the electric vehicles that perform best in cold weather conditions generally belong to Chinese-based brands. The brand with the highest range loss was determined to be Volkswagen.

The Norwegian Automobile Federation tested 23 different electric cars in cold weather conditions reaching -10 degrees and evaluated their performance. According to these test results, the vehicle that showed the best performance was the HiPhi Z. It was followed by the BMW i5, Lotus Eletre, Kia EV9, XPeng G9, and NIO EL6.
