Siegfried Marcus Automobile puts Turkey option on the table for European production

Siegfried Marcus Automobile is evaluating several options, including Turkey, for its European production structure as part of the product program starting with the Marcus 5. According to the company's statement, technical and commercial negotiations are being conducted with potential production partners in three different regions in Europe and in Turkey.

The brand aims to shape the production and assembly infrastructure of the Marcus 5 in order to establish a more customer-centric after-sales structure and strengthen its operations in the European market. Key factors in the evaluation process include production capability, quality standards, supply chain, technical human resources, logistics, service infrastructure, export access, and long-term capacity potential.

The chosen production structure is intended to form the foundation not only for the Marcus 5 but also for the European journey of two new models the brand plans to announce subsequently.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF THE MARCUS 5

The company statement noted that hundreds of millions of euros have been invested in the development, technology, engineering, testing, homologation, and industrialization processes of the Marcus 5. It was stated that the vehicle platform's European type approvals have been completed and agreements regarding the mass production infrastructure have been finalized.

Positioned in the modern D-SUV segment, the Marcus 5 is being prepared for the European market with 150 kW of power, a range of over 500 kilometers, LFP battery technology, and a structure compatible with fast-charging infrastructure. The company positions the model as the first representative of its goal to combine the quality, safety, and technology standards of German automotive brands with a more accessible price point.

The emphasis on data security in the Marcus 5's software and digital service architecture was also highlighted. According to the statement, driver and user data will be hosted and processed in Germany and protected in accordance with GDPR standards.

It was reported that the first Marcus 5 vehicles rolled off the production line last weekend at the facility used for markets outside of Europe. Preparations for shipments and promotions for Europe and Turkey have begun, and the first vehicles are expected to be presented to the public, industry representatives, potential business partners, and members of the press through special events in the near future.

Siegfried Marcus Automobile Founder and President Özgür Baklan stated that the first orders for Europe will be shipped from the current production setup, while the European production structure will be a long-term step toward establishing a stronger after-sales infrastructure closer to the customer.

The company plans to establish distributorship, dealership, after-sales service, and spare parts organizations in the selected markets simultaneously with the production setup. With the start of the Marcus 5's promotional process, the goal is to accelerate negotiations with distributor and dealer groups in addition to production partners.
