German automaker Porsche has launched many models throughout its history. Having entered the electric vehicle world earlier than other European brands, Porsche first introduced us to the Taycan model. The Taycan, which was called the Mission E project, has now earned the title of the most powerful car in Porsche history with its new version.

While it looks like a normal Porsche Taycan from the outside, the model actually hides a very different kind of power under the hood. The Taycan Turbo GT offers you two different trim levels to purchase.

To talk about the standard version, the Taycan Turbo GT first features a completely redesigned rear motor. Along with this, Porsche engineers used a completely new semiconductor material, silicon carbide (SiC), in the vehicle's motor. Thanks to its crystal structure, this material allows electrons to move faster, resulting in a more powerful Taycan.

So, what is the result achieved with this new semiconductor? First, the standard version of the car produces 780 horsepower. With Launch Control, this power increases to 1,033 horsepower, while the newly added "overboost" function allows the motor to produce 1,108 horsepower for 2 seconds.

With this high power, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.3 seconds. When the Weissach package is engaged, this acceleration time is shortened by a tenth of a second. Additionally, with the Weissach package, the car requires 6.4 seconds to reach 200 kilometers per hour.

Porsche's jaw-dropping new beast, the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT, is currently on sale in Europe. The price of the vehicle varies around 250 thousand euros.
